This week the talented Miss Lizzie filled in and brought a few feathered stories along to share. Anyone with a favorite toy can relate to “Have You Seen Duck?” by Janet Holmes about a boy whose favorite toy goes missing and realizes activities are not as fun if you do not have someone to share them with.

Suzy Goose is tired of being like all the other geese in Petr Hoarcek’s, “Silly Suzy Goose.” After following other animals around, including a cranky lion, Suzy learns it’s best to just be one’s self.

One of my  favorite books of all timeis Amy Rosenthal’s “Duck! Rabbit!” Two off page characters are trying to decide if the animal on the page is a duck or rabbit. This is the first optical illusion book I have ever seen for toddlers; I love hearing if kids think if it’s a rabbit or duck.   Catch the book trailer at

Join us next week, March 15 & 16 at 10:30am in the Zane Grey Room for a Toddler/Preschool Storytime Mash up! Ms. Karrie and I will be celebrating Spring Break with stories about spring and Saint Patrick’s Day!
